805 Rescue is a local, community-driven animal rescue dedicated to helping animals in need find safe, loving homes. Based in and serving San Luis Obispo County, 805 Rescue focuses on rescue, rehabilitation, and responsible placement, working closely with fosters, volunteers, and local partners.
Many of the animals we help come from overcrowded shelters, owner surrenders, or urgent situations where immediate support is needed. Each animal receives individualized care, proper nutrition, and attention to their physical and emotional well-being while they wait for the right home.
805 Rescue operates with the belief that education, compassion, and community involvement are key to improving the lives of animals. Through adoption, fostering, and local outreach, 805 Rescue is committed to making a meaningful difference—one animal at a time.

Left behind in a Cal Poly dorm with no explanation, this bearded dragon is still trying to make sense of it all. We don’t know his past, only that he’s wary of hands and unsure who to trust. He keeps his distance, but there’s something quietly resilient about him. With patience, space, and understanding, he deserves the chance to feel safe again and finally have a place that’s truly his.
Leopard Gecko

Gandolf is a big, solid leopard gecko with a presence that’s hard to miss—truly a tank in every sense. He came to us when his dad lost his home, and while the transition wasn’t his choice, he’s taken it in stride. Calm, steady, and quietly observant, he’s the kind of companion who doesn’t demand attention but still makes his presence known. He’s ready for a stable home where he can settle in and be someone’s steady little shadow again.

This sweet leopard gecko came to us when their family had to move somewhere pets weren’t allowed, leaving them behind through no fault of their own. Their age and gender are unknown, but they have a calm, gentle presence and are slowly adjusting to the change. With a stable home and a little patience, they’re ready for a fresh start and a place where they can finally stay.
